What to do when the light is trash and you have full sun a couple hours after sunrise? I chose to put the sun behind the subject and go for something a little dramatic. Thanks to a dark background and some lush green ferns below the Louisiana Waterthrush I was able to capture this fun bird in a somewhat pretty scene. I always enjoy how their long pink legs glow in the sunlight.
