This is the third year that I've photographed this same Northern Parula in the same exact area. He has been one of my favorite warblers to work with over those years as he loves to hang low and often in a nearby lichen covered tree. Since I've spent enough time with him I figured it was time to try something a little different and so here is a photo taken at 30mm as the bird foraged on the ground. I don't see this often with Parulas but I have witnessed it on a few different occasions this year when they see insects on the ground. I enjoyed how this photo showed off the habitat of tall deciduous trees this bird lives in.
