Singing Worm-eating Warbler

Singing Worm-eating Warbler

After an unsuccesful morning trying to photograph a Blackburnian Warbler I turned my attention to a nearby singing Worm-eating Warbler. This bird was buzzing all around the area as the sun was just beginning to filter through the hemlock trees early in the morning. He landed up a bit higher than me and a little far away but I managed to find a small opening in the foreground trees I was shooting through to get a clear view. He stayed just long enough for me to get focus and compose this offset shot. I always enjoy the magic of shooting through a bunch of foreground branches and trees because of the unpredictable patterns that emerge in the out of focus areas.
