While working with a client we had made our way into this small mountain top swamp as we followed the calls of a Northern Waterthrush that was a species neither of us had ever photographed. After sitting in the swamp for a while we saw a Canada Warbler bouncing around and then this gorgeous Magnolia Warbler showed up right in front of us. It was so neat to see all these wonderful species feeding at ground level on a sunny morning. The main difficulty was the sun and getting a clear view without branches in the way in the visually busy swamp. Eventually this Magnolia Warbler made its way in very close to us and gave me a nice pose in some decent light. I went back to this same spot the next day to find none of these species in the area, the birds had obviously migrated along.
