By far one of the most fun ducks to watch land is the Long-tailed Duck. Watching them it's like the last 5 feet in the air they just give up flying, fold their wings, and skip along the surface of the water until they stop. I laugh watching it every single time and until this image I've never been able to capture it just right. I was able to be right at water level when this drake flew in and landed right in front of us on the calm water. It was amazing to see and I hoped like crazy I had at least one of the images in focus. Thankfully I did and this is the fun result of that moment.
