This is one of two juvenile Green Herons that reside at a local pond. The pair were hunting along this tiny peninsual in the pond as the early morning sun started shining on them. It took me some time but I eventually moved in really close to the pair and was able to get some decent portraits. I took a good bit of moving around to find a clean background as well. These young ones seem to be a bit less patient then adults to me. While watching them they move around a lot more and didn't hold still very long. Taken in Clementon, New Jersey.
