Golden Brown Merganser

This female Hooded Merganser looked gorgeous as she floated through the calm water on the morning. The early morning sun was shining in just right and made the entire scene glow a sort of golden brown. I watched her as she moved through the scene and was sure to wait until she turned her head into the light so I could see that eye stand out.
