Well it was more lit from straight overhead. The sun was pretty high in the sky by this point, I normally wouldn't be out shooting this late in the day but Bombay Hook National WIldlife Refuge was a long drive for me so I stayed a bit longer than normal. The sun was at least a bit behind this fella so I got a slight outline of sun on his body against the darker green trees across the field. He sat in this spot for about 3-4 minutes so he gave me plenty of opportunity. I was also able to capture a video of him singing away. Taken in Smyrna Delaware.
