Finding small openings in the foreground vegetation to make a very distant bird stand out is always a fun challenge. Here a Loggerhead Shrike perched high on a distant dead snag made for a perfect subject to try this effect out. I found a brighter opening to shoot through and composed up this image. I brightened and added contrast to the bird just a bit in post to really make it pop.
