So many times I was blown away by the turquise color of the water in Alaska. The other surprising thing was how much darker the Song Sparrows were compared to what I normally see in NJ. While out on a jetty photographing Black Oystercatchers a pair of Song Sparrows showed up and this one was kind enough to perch on the edge of the jetty rocks with the beautiful water as a background. I also liked the splashes of green from the lichens and moss growing on the rocks.
