What a morning this was with my great friend Ray G. We spend the morning laying along the shoreline working with some waterfowl on this incredibly calm morning. At this point in the day the sun was just starting to shine on the background but not quite the foreground so it made for some interesting light for this scene. Sometimes when I work with waterowl I'll throw on my teleconverter because I know they love to keep some distance but on this morning I was happy I didn't as I love capturing the entire scene like this with a lot of space. The dark drake still stood out quite nicely in the scene. I can still remember how calm and quiet it was on this particular morning.
