Snowy Morning in Florida
Two days ago my wife and I visited a beach on Sanibel Island so we could take her parent's dog for a walk. We had researched online and found this was a dog friendly beach. Little did I know I would see my first Snowy Plover that afternoon. This morning I went back to this same beach and it was one of those mornings where everything just comes together. The weather was cooler and windy so no bugs, the morning sunlight was just perfect as it rose over the horizon, and lastly the Snowy Plovers were very cooperative. I caught this one standing on the beach amongst a bunch of shells just moments after the sun had risen. These Snowy Plovers may just be the cutest plovers I have photographed, it's a toss up between them and the Piping Plover. Taken at Gulfside Beach on Sanibel Island, Florida.
